China Airlines (CAL; Chinese: ????; pinyin: Zhonghuá Hángkong; Pe?h-oe-ji: Tiong-hôa Hâng-khong) is the state-owned flag carrier of Republic of China (Taiwan). It is one of Taiwan's two major airlines along with EVA Air.

Airline ranking company Skytrax released its 2023 list of the 20 best airlines in the world. Singapore Airlines came in first, taking the win over 2022's winner Qatar Airways. Delta Air Lines is the only US carrier to make Skytrax's top 20 list.
The seats do not recline but just kind of slide forward a little. Essentially there is no functional recline and they are the most uncomfortable overnight seats I have ever flown on (and I fly a lot). If you are taller than 165 cm there is definitely no chance to sleep (may be fine for Asians but not for Westerners).
