Is CocoCay cashless?

You'll need your SeaPass card to pay for things on the island. There's also an island market with local Bahamian crafts, where items can be charged with your SeaPass card (until 2:30 p.m.) and cash (USD) is always accepted.

Yes, Perfect Day at CocoCay, Royal Caribbean's private island in the Bahamas, is a 95% cashless environment in 2026. For almost all transactions on the island—including purchasing drinks, renting lockers, booking shore excursions, or buying entry to the Thrill Waterpark—you must use your SeaPass card. This card is linked directly to your onboard account (and your credit card on file), meaning you never have to carry a wallet or worry about wet currency. The island's Wi-Fi (if you have a Voom package) and the Royal Caribbean app allow you to track your spending in real-time. There is, however, one small exception: the Straw Market, which features authentic Bahamian crafts and souvenirs made by local residents. While many of these vendors can now accept the SeaPass card (usually until around 2:30 PM), they are independent of the cruise line, so carrying a small amount of U.S. Cash (USD) is highly recommended if you plan to shop for local goods. For everything else, from the "Chill Grill" buffet (which is free) to the "Coco Beach Club," your SeaPass card is the only "key" you need to navigate this high-tech, private tropical paradise.
