Is companion fare one way or round trip?

One-way and round-trip itineraries with one stop-over can also be booked using the companion fare as long as every flight is operated by Alaska Airlines, Virgin America or Horizon Air.

The Mileage Plan™ member who owns the companion fare code must either be one of the travelers or the purchaser of the reservation. If the member is allowing two travelers to use his or her companion fare code, then the member's name must match the name on the credit card used to purchase the reservation.

Taxes/Fees: The fare for Companion tickets requires payment of government-imposed taxes and fees of no more than $80 for roundtrip domestic flights (for itineraries with up to four flight segments). Taxes and fees depend on the itinerary.
