Is Delta Comfort Plus a bigger seat?

Extra legroom and deeper recline Extra legroom is one of the primary benefits of the Comfort Plus experience. Depending on where you're seated in the plane, your Comfort Plus seat will offer up to four inches of extra legroom.

Delta Comfort Plus is not technically a "wider" seat, as it uses the same seat frame and width as a standard Main Cabin seat (typically about 17.2 to 18.5 inches depending on the aircraft). However, it is a "bigger" space in terms of pitch and recline. In Comfort Plus, you receive up to 3 extra inches of legroom, bringing the seat pitch to approximately 34–35 inches. Additionally, many aircraft configurations allow for an increased recline compared to the back of the plane. The "bigness" is felt more in the overall experience: you are seated in the front of the cabin for quicker deplaning, you get dedicated overhead bin space for your carry-on, and you receive enhanced amenities like premium snacks and complimentary alcoholic beverages. While the seat width remains identical to economy, the extra vertical and longitudinal space makes a significant difference for taller passengers or those on long-haul flights who need more room to stretch their legs without their knees hitting the seat in front.
