Is Disney cable car free?

You can ride the Disney Skyliner cable-car system for FREE and get some great views of Walt Disney World from above. Each cabin can hold up to 10 people, and can accommodate people with wheelchairs, scooters (ECVs) and strollers.

Yes, the Disney Skyliner, which is the state-of-the-art gondola/cable car system at Walt Disney World in Florida, is completely free to use. In 2026, it remains a vital part of Disney's complimentary transportation network, much like the monorails, buses, and water taxis. You do not need a park ticket, a hotel reservation, or a special pass to board. The Skyliner connects EPCOT (International Gateway) and Disney's Hollywood Studios with several resorts, including Disney's Riviera Resort, Caribbean Beach Resort, Pop Century, and Art of Animation. Because it provides a unique "bird's-eye view" of the parks and moves continuously, many guests ride it simply for the scenery or to "resort hop" for dining. While it is free, it is subject to weather closures; if there are high winds or lightning in the area, the system will temporarily stop, and Disney will provide "bus bridges" to transport guests between the affected locations until the weather clears and the gondolas can safely resume operation.
