Is Disney making another ship?

Disney Treasure, the newest ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet expansion, will set sail December 2024. “Our newest ship will immerse guests in brand new experiences that are inspired by beloved Disney theme parks and attractions,” Sharon Siskie, senior vice president and general manager of Disney Cruise Line, said.

Yes, Disney Cruise Line is currently in its most aggressive expansion phase in history. In 2026, the fleet will see the launch of its largest ship ever, the Disney Adventure, which is scheduled to debut on March 10, 2026, out of Singapore. Originally designed for a different cruise line before being purchased and reimagined by Disney Imagineers, the Adventure will carry up to 6,700 passengers and feature unique themed neighborhoods like "Marvel Landing" and "San Fransokyo Street." Beyond the Adventure, Disney is also preparing the Disney Destiny, which is set to launch in late 2025/early 2026 as the third ship in the "Wish Class" alongside the Disney Wish and Disney Treasure. Furthermore, Disney has announced plans to launch an additional four new ships between 2027 and 2031, bringing the total fleet size to 13 vessels. This unprecedented growth is part of a multi-billion dollar investment in "Disney Experiences" aimed at expanding the brand's reach into the Asian market and increasing capacity for its popular itineraries in the Caribbean and Europe.
