Is Disney World more crowded on weekends?

In case you remain unpersuaded by the YTD daily crowd levels (or if the graph is too difficult to discern…or whatever), above is a look at average wait times by day of the week. Here, it becomes apparent that Saturday and Sunday are now the slowest days of the week at Walt Disney World.

In general the best days of the week to visit the Disney World parks are Tuesday and Wednesday. The reason being is many families find that you need an entire week for a Disney vacation and typically arrive on Saturday or Sunday. We find weekends and Monday to be the busiest days at Walt Disney World.

Definitely Magic Kingdom. The only caveat to that is if ROTR is a must-do for you, you might want to build in some flexibility to park hop as necessary - that way if your DHS day is a bad ROTR day, you'd have some flexibility to go back in the morning, maybe on your Epcot day for example.

Avoid the Weekends When Possible The best way to plan around these crowds is to plan your full days at the parks on weekdays. The middle of the week generally tends to have the best days to visit Disney parks.

Magic Kingdom Fireworks are at 9pm on most nights. If there is a special event like Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party the fireworks may be earlier, or may not be scheduled for regular guests visiting that day.

As such, we've been advising those who want lower crowds–or who have Park Hopper tickets–to start their day in Magic Kingdom on evenings when Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party or Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is held.
