Choosing between Delta First Class and Delta Comfort+ depends on your budget and the length of your flight, but First Class is objectively the superior product in terms of physical space and service. First Class offers a wider, plush leather seat with significantly more recline, a dedicated flight attendant, and complimentary hot meals on flights over 900 miles. You also receive "premium" alcoholic beverages, a larger seatback screen, and two free checked bags. In contrast, Comfort+ is a "Main Cabin" product with extra perks; you get 3 more inches of legroom (pitch) and dedicated overhead bin space, but the seat width is exactly the same as standard economy. While Comfort+ guests do receive complimentary beer, wine, and "premium" snacks, they do not receive the elevated meal service found in First Class. For a short 1-hour hop, Comfort+ is usually the better value, but for any flight over 3 hours, the added comfort of the wider First Class seat and the "all-inclusive" service make it a significantly better experience if the price difference is within your travel budget.
