Is food on Castaway Cay free?

Food on Castaway Cay is included for no additional charge. There are 3 BBQ buffet restaurants serving up mostly the same menu.

Yes, the vast majority of the food on Castaway Cay, Disney Cruise Line’s private island, is included in your cruise fare. The main dining experience is a massive island-style BBQ served at Cookie’s BBQ and Cookie’s Too, where you can find unlimited burgers, hot dogs, rotisserie chicken, ribs, salads, and fresh fruit. There is also a dedicated "Adult Exclusive" dining area at Serenity Bay that serves a slightly more elevated BBQ menu, sometimes including ribeye steaks. Soft-serve ice cream stations and soda fountains are also complimentary and scattered throughout the dining areas. However, there are "extra-cost" items: alcoholic beverages (cocktails, beer, wine) and specialty frozen drinks are not free and will be charged to your "Key to the World" card. Additionally, snacks purchased at the "Kona Coffee" stand or any pre-packaged treats at the island's gift shops are also at an additional cost. For most families, the included BBQ lunch is more than enough food, making Castaway Cay one of the highest-value "port days" in the Disney Cruise Line experience.
