Is Fort Wilderness and Wilderness Lodge the same resort?

Disney's Wilderness Lodge and Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campgrounds are two separate resorts and the pools at each are benefits of Guests staying at their respective hotels.

No, Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and Disney's Wilderness Lodge are two distinct resorts located near each other in the Magic Kingdom area. Wilderness Lodge is a "Deluxe" resort featuring a massive, rustic timber-frame building inspired by National Park lodges of the American Northwest. It offers traditional hotel rooms and high-end villas. In contrast, Fort Wilderness is a 750-acre "Moderate" category resort that offers campsites for RVs and tents, as well as rustic "Cabins." While they share a similar "wilderness" aesthetic and are connected by a boat launch, they have completely different atmospheres, dining options, and pool areas. A high-value tip for 2026: you can take a Blue Flag water taxi between the two to enjoy the restaurants at either—like the rowdy Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Lodge or the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue at Fort Wilderness.
