Disney got this ride right. The first coaster in EPCOT is something else - a well themed coaster that has a story and music - that is very fast and has cars that spin independently towards the action - truly a must do experience. The coaster was quite fun but be warned it may be intense for younger kids.
Since Disney wanted to keep it family-friendly, Cosmic Rewind isn't as fast as the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster or the TRON coaster, both reaching speeds of around 60 mph. It's faster than Space Mountain which tops out at 27 mph, but it doesn't quite feel as fast as Slinky Dog Dash which reaches 40 mph.
Tower of Terror includes sudden, fast drops in a dark, enclosed space which may be frightening to some guests. Also, if you bring any bags or backpacks with you, keep them closed and tucked securely between your feet. The drop sequences will cause them to shift around or fly up.
