Is Halloween better at Disneyland or Disney World?
Both Parks have their perks when it comes to Halloween. But for us, Disneyland takes the win here. Even though Disneyland is considerably smaller than Walt Disney World, there are more free things to see and do.

Super fun characters, projection shows, and food offers all make it worthwhile for me. OBB sounds fun but I don't see it as valuable for the cost. The park is still decorated for Halloween, they still have all kinds of special food and Halloween merchandise, you'll still see characters in costume.
While the party officially begins at 6PM, ticketed guests can enter the park as early as 3PM. Regular park guests were still around at this time, so it felt pretty busy! Oogie Boogie Bash is completely sold out (including tonight's party), and we can definitely tell by these crowds.
We've done both and Christmas will always win out for our family. Another thing that would lean towards Christmas is weather. The Halloween parties are during Florida's rainy/hurricane season so more parties are negatively affected by weather.
Disney World is generally more crowded than Disneyland, although Disneyland can get crowded, too, at times. Disneyland sees increased crowds around holidays, such as during winter break, the end of March and around Columbus Day, and school breaks, including several weeks in early October.
It's always a great time to visit Disney theme parks! However, when planning a trip to the Disneyland Resort, expect lower crowds from mid-September through mid-November (before the Thanksgiving break). Mid-January through mid-March is another time when potentially lower crowds are expected.
