Children over 48? tall are allowed on Forbidden Journey, however, my advice to parents would be to carefully consider the temperament of your child before taking them on this ride. There were children as young as Emma on the ride who clearly were not affected by it in the least.



While Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey is a "must-see" for fans, it may be too intense for younger or sensitive children. The ride features a 48-inch (122 cm) height requirement, making it one of the more restrictive attractions in the park. Beyond the physical requirement, the ride is a high-motion simulator that includes "scary" elements like large animatronic spiders (Aragog), Dementors that "breath" on you, and a simulated dragon encounter with heat effects. The ride vehicle also tilts and dips significantly, which can cause motion sickness. For kids who aren't tall enough or are too intimidated, the "Castle Tour" is a high-value alternative; it allows you to walk through the Hogwarts queue (seeing Dumbledore's office and the Sorting Hat) without actually boarding the ride, allowing them to experience the "magic" without the intensity.

It is a spooky/scary queue and coaster which makes it really cool and omnious which will build suspense, don't let it deter you! You can absolutely, 100% ride the Mummy if you enjoy Hagrids and Gringotts and I would highly recommend you do.
