Is ice skating free on Wonder of the Seas?

You may not expect to wrap up a sunny day with figure eights on the ice rink. But onboard, excitement like this comes standard— and the ice skating comes complimentary. Children and adults, from beginners to masters, are invited to strap on a pair of skates and show off their moves.

Yes, ice skating is complimentary for all guests on Wonder of the Seas, provided you are skating during a "Public Session" in Studio B. Royal Caribbean includes both the use of the ice rink and the rental of skates (and helmets) in your base cruise fare, so there is no extra charge to take a spin on the ice while sailing through the Caribbean. However, there are a few strict requirements: all skaters must wear long pants and socks to be allowed on the ice, and a waiver must be signed (usually via the Royal Caribbean app). Public skating sessions are typically scheduled on "Sea Days" and operate on a first-come, first-served basis; because capacity is limited, it is wise to check the "Cruise Compass" or the app early in the morning to see the session times. While the skating itself is free, the ship also hosts spectacular professional ice shows featuring world-class athletes and complex choreography; these shows are also free to attend, but due to high demand, you are strongly encouraged to "reserve" your seat in the app as soon as you board the ship to ensure you don't miss out on the performance.
