Is it too hot to go to Disney in July?

Along with August, July is the hottest month at Disney World, with an average high of 92F (33C) and an average low of 73F (23C). July is also one of the wettest months, with an average of 17 rainy days (one less than June). (We have a post that talks more broadly about weather at Walt Disney World.)

Visiting Walt Disney World in Orlando during July is widely considered a "heat and humidity" endurance test. In 2026, typical July temperatures reach daytime highs of 91°F to 93°F (33°C), but the "feels like" temperature frequently exceeds 105°F (40°C) due to oppressive humidity levels. This is also the peak of the tropical rainy season, meaning you should expect a heavy afternoon thunderstorm nearly every day. While the heat is extreme, it is not "too hot" for everyone, provided you utilize a "rope drop" strategy—arriving when the parks open, taking a long mid-day break in an air-conditioned hotel or pool, and returning for the cooler evening hours. Disney parks are designed with significant indoor, air-conditioned queues and "cooling stations" to help guests manage. However, for those sensitive to heat, young children, or the elderly, July can be physically draining. If you choose to go, hydration is paramount, and wearing moisture-wicking clothing and using portable fans are essential tools for a successful mid-summer Disney vacation.
