Is it worth it to go to Disneyland in June?

June Gloom- some out-of-state guests are always surprised by the June Gloom weather in Southern California. Be prepared for this in advance and bring light layers for the morning hours. See the new events- June always brings new things to Disneyland which is why visiting in the summer can be such a great time to come!

Going to Disneyland in June is a "mixed bag" that requires careful planning to be "worth it." On the positive side, June features longer park hours and usually full operating schedules for all major attractions. In California, the "June Gloom" (morning overcast) often keeps the early temperatures comfortable, with daily highs averaging a manageable 27°C (81°F). However, the downsides are significant: June marks the start of the heavy summer vacation crowds as schools let out. Specifically, the first week of June 2026 is expected to be very busy as lower-tier "Magic Key" holders try to get their "one last visit" in before summer blockout dates begin. You must also contend with "Grad Nites," which bring large groups of rowdy high school seniors to Disney California Adventure. If you go, the "sweet spot" is generally mid-June (around the 6th–14th), after the initial blockout rush but before the peak July crowds arrive. Using a service like Lightning Lane Multi Pass is almost essential in June to avoid 90-minute standby waits for popular rides.
