We waited until our kids were 8 and 10, which seems to be the perfect age to appreciate Legoland (including MiniLand) and be able to ride all the rides.

Getting from Billund Airport to Legoland is very easy as the distance between the two is only about 4 kilometres; you can make your way directly to Legoland whether you plan to spend the night there or not.
