Is Lisbon or Porto better nightlife?

If you're looking to party a lot then Lisbon. It's also more expensive but it's closer to more beaches and algarve. I heard it's warmer but I went to both in February and the weather was pretty much the same so idk. Lisbon has better night life if you're into party and drinking.

Choosing between Lisbon and Porto for nightlife depends on whether you prefer a massive, multi-district urban scene or a more compact, walkable party atmosphere. Lisbon is generally considered superior for variety; it features the iconic Bairro Alto with its hundreds of tiny bars, the "Pink Street" in Cais do Sodré for late-night clubbing, and massive riverside venues like Lux Frágil. Lisbon’s scene is spread out and stays active until dawn, catering to everything from Fado houses to underground techno. Porto, while smaller, offers a more concentrated and intensely social vibe, primarily centered around the Galerias de Paris. Because Porto is more compact, it is easier to "bar hop" on foot, and the student population keeps the atmosphere energetic and slightly more affordable. If you want a world-class, diverse metropolitan experience with high-end clubs, Lisbon is the winner; if you want a friendly, bohemian, and easily navigable night out where you’ll likely see the same people at different stops, Porto is the better choice.
