Is memory maker worth it?

Is Memory Maker Worth It? We get this question a lot, and our answer is always: That depends! You know your family and the amount of photos you'd like best. If it's your first time at Walt Disney World and you'll be there a while, Memory Maker may be a good investment to ensure that you get all of those magical shots.

Memory Maker is generally worth it for families and first-time visitors who want high-quality photos of their entire group without leaving anyone out to act as the photographer. As of 2026, the service remains a popular add-on at Walt Disney World, providing unlimited digital downloads of every PhotoPass photo taken during your stay. This includes not only posed shots at iconic landmarks but also on-ride photos and videos that are impossible to capture yourself. To get the best value, you should purchase it at least three days before your trip to take advantage of the "advance purchase" discount. If you are a solo traveler or a group that doesn't care much for posed photography, you might skip it; however, for those who want professional-grade memories—including "Magic Shots" where digital characters are added to your photos—the convenience of having a central digital gallery usually outweighs the cost, especially on longer trips.
