Is Mt Pilatus worth seeing?

Mt. Pilatus is a tall mountain peak towering over Lucerne. It's popular with tourists and locals for its spectacular 360 panorama views of many lakes and mountain views in Central Switzerland. At the top, you'll find a big observation deck, cafes and restaurants, lounge chairs, gift shops, etc.

The central Old Town area is compact and can get crowded, but it's easy to lose the herd by venturing out a little to see the famous Lion of Lucerne or walk the Musegg Wall, with its series of watchtowers. All the major sites are walkable.

June to September: This is the peak season when the weather is pleasant and Lucerne is full of tourists. The gateway to central Switzerland, Lucerne's proximity to the Alps ensures that it is cool even in summers, particularly in the evenings.
