Following the park's closure during the pandemic, the attraction would remain closed for a further year as it underwent the major renovation, which includes 3,000 new pieces of coral, 12,000ft of seaweed, new colours, 400 new underwater lighting fixtures, special effects and 90 new projectors.

Epcot attracts Disney Resort hotel guests on Mondays. As such, we're left with Tuesday and Wednesday, the quietest days throughout the year, and during festivals such as the Epcot International Festival Of the Arts and Epcot International Food and Wine Festival.
There are 11 rides at EPCOT in 2023, and only 9 rides at Hollywood Studios or Animal Kingdom. With the addition of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind Coaster, EPCOT attractions have even taken a spot as some of the best thrill rides in Orlando!
However, a NEW ride has taken the spot of highest average wait time — it's Test Track at 69 minutes. Next up is Soarin' at 34 minutes, Mission: SPACE at 20 minutes, Turtle Talk with Crush at 15 minutes, and Spaceship Earth at 16 minutes.
Maelstrom was a reversing Shoot the Chute dark ride attraction located in the Epcot theme park at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. Designed by Walt Disney Imagineering, the ride opened on July 5, 1988, in the Norway Pavilion of the park's World Showcase section.

A trip at this time of year also has the added bonus of cooler temperatures — or, to superfans, Spirit Jersey weather. Disney World's least busy month, though, is almost always September.
While you might not be able to get absolutely everything in the park done in a day (with the near-constant stream of Epcot festivals, there's often just too much to see, do, and eat), you will certainly be able to accomplish most or all of the rides, plus make a dent in whatever else strikes your fancy around World ...
Walt Disney World Epcot – Best for Ages 8 to 14It's a great theme park for intellectually curious kids (and adults) but not the best for little kids under the age of 8. Older kids will enjoy some of the major thrill rides (like Test Track and Mission: SPACE) and may really enjoy World Showcase.
Ultimately, the answer to the question, “should you skip Epcot?” is ABSOLUTELY NOT as of 2023. Navigating the sea of construction walls isn't really as bad as it might seem–and while it'll be a lovely environment once finished, there aren't any rides you'll miss in that Giant Epcot Dirt Pit.
