The South Terminal is the larger one of the two and opened in 1958. It is 160,000 square metres, of which 14,768 square metres is retail facilities. The North Terminal opened in 1988 and measures 98,000 square metres, of which 12,530 square metres is retail facilities.

We fly long haul and tend to fly out between 9.30-11am, but we do find the North to be more open, spacious and airy unlike the South. In fact, we also struggled to find a seat while waiting for our flight to board. I was in the North a few months back, airside there are loads of restaurants.
