Is Ride of the Resistance a scary ride?

Rise of the Resistance can be scary at times for kids, even ones who love Star Wars. The interactions with Kylo Ren, Stormtroopers, and the First Order can be a bit intimidating.

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is not a "scary" ride in the traditional sense of a horror attraction or a high-intensity roller coaster, but it is extremely immersive and intense. The ride uses a trackless vehicle system, motion simulation, and a brief, sudden "drop" sequence that catches many first-time riders by surprise (similar to a very short elevator drop). The "scary" elements are mostly psychological: you are "captured" by the First Order, interrogated by Kylo Ren, and placed in the middle of a chaotic space battle with loud explosions, flashing lights, and full-scale AT-AT walkers firing at you. For young children, the presence of menacing Stormtroopers and the booming voice of Kylo Ren might be intimidating. However, there are no inversions, no sustained high speeds, and the drop is over in less than two seconds. Most guests who enjoy immersive storytelling find it thrilling rather than frightening, but those with a profound fear of "being trapped" or sudden vertical movement should be aware of the interrogation and drop scenes.

Is Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run Scary? That all depends on what kind of rides you like, but in general, I would not say that Smugglers Run, no. It's a flight simulator so expect lots of bumpy movements and sharp turns throughout, but this is also somewhat affected by whoever the pilot is.
