Despite persistent internet rumors and fan theories over the years, the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster at Disney's Hollywood Studios is not being rethemed to the band Queen. Instead, Disney officially announced in late 2025 that the attraction is undergoing a major retheme to The Muppets. The new version, scheduled to open in Summer 2026, will feature Dr. Teeth and The Electric Mayhem as the central musical act. The storyline involves "G-Force Records" being taken over by the Muppets, with characters like Scooter appearing as advanced animatronics in the pre-show area. While many fans hoped for a Queen or Led Zeppelin retheme to replace Aerosmith, the Muppets were chosen to create a more family-friendly experience that integrates with the nearby Muppet-Vision 3D area, marking the end of the 25-year Aerosmith era for the high-speed coaster.
Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith is an enclosed, launched roller coaster located at Disney's Hollywood Studios within Walt Disney World. Manufactured by Vekoma, the roller coaster opened to the public on July 29, 1999.
