Is S Bahn included in Eurail?

Eurail passes allow free travel on S-Bahn in Zurich, S-Bahn in Germany and S-Bahn in Vienna. Do these count as a travel day under the pass or are they in addition to the travel days registered on the pass? All trains that are used with the pass require a valid activated day and entry on pass, this includes S-Bahn.
