Is Sitges a good place for a holiday?

Absolutely! Sitges is up there with the most beautiful and chi-chi towns on the Mediterranean. So if you've seen Saint Tropez, Portofino, and Amalfi, it's time to try Sitges.

Sitges is widely considered one of the best holiday destinations in Spain, particularly for those who want a blend of vibrant culture, beautiful beaches, and easy accessibility. Located just 35 minutes south of Barcelona by train, Sitges is often called the "Saint-Tropez of Spain" due to its glamorous atmosphere, upscale boutiques, and 17 different sandy beaches. The town is famous for its inclusive and liberal spirit, serving as a legendary hub for the LGBTQ+ community and hosting world-class events like the Sitges Film Festival and a spectacular Carnival. Unlike some high-rise Spanish resorts, Sitges has preserved its "Old Town" charm with narrow winding streets and historic whitewashed buildings. It is an excellent choice for a holiday because it caters to everyone: families enjoy the safe, shallow waters of Platja de la Ribera, foodies appreciate the high concentration of Michelin-recommended restaurants, and nightlife seekers can enjoy the "Street of Sin" (Carrer del Pecat).
