Is Space Mountain still hyperspace mountain?

Space Mountain has temporarily transformed into Hyperspace Mountain starting May 1st. Space Mountain is expected to reopen and be back to ?normal? on June 5th, 2023. In case you don't know, Hyperspace Mountain is Star Wars overlay at Space Mountain.

As of February 2026, Space Mountain at Disneyland Park in California is currently in its classic, non-overlay state. However, it has been officially confirmed that the popular Star Wars-themed overlay, Hyperspace Mountain, is scheduled to return on April 28, 2026. This temporary transformation typically coincides with the "Season of the Force" event and the "May the 4th" Star Wars Day celebrations. During this overlay, the ride features iconic Star Wars music, projections of X-wings and TIE fighters, and synchronized laser effects to simulate a space battle. At other Disney parks globally, the status varies; for instance, Hong Kong Disneyland has hosted Hyperspace Mountain more frequently as a semi-permanent feature, though it is currently undergoing scheduled maintenance in early 2026 and is expected to reopen with the Star Wars theme in late April as well.
