Is Tesco linked to Avios?

Tesco Clubcard is a long-established partner of Avios and British Airways Executive Club. It is also one of the most generous Tesco Clubcard redemptions. EDIT: This article is now out of date. The Avios and Tesco Clubcard partnership ended in January 2021.

Yes, Tesco is still linked to Avios in 2026, but the partnership is primarily active through Tesco Ireland for British Airways Executive Club members. Customers in Ireland can convert their Tesco Clubcard vouchers into Avios at a rate of €2.50 in vouchers for 600 Avios. In the UK, however, the direct partnership between Tesco Clubcard and British Airways ended in early 2021; UK shoppers now primarily use the Tesco-to-Virgin Points link for Virgin Atlantic Flying Club. For UK-based Avios collectors, the "Everyday Shopping" link has shifted to Sainsbury’s and Nectar, where you can link your Nectar and British Airways accounts to swap points at a rate of 400 Nectar points for 250 Avios. If you are a UK Tesco shopper determined to get Avios, your only "workaround" in 2026 is to use a credit card that earns Avios for your Tesco purchases, as the direct voucher-to-Avios conversion is no longer an option for the UK market.
