Is Test Track at Epcot for kids?

Height Requirements: Children under the age of 7 cannot ride Test Track without being accompanied by an adult and a height restriction of 40 is in effect but parents may wish to use the rider switch option.

Test Track at EPCOT is a massive hit with kids, particularly those who are fans of cars and high-speed thrills, but it has a 40-inch (102cm) height requirement that must be met. The attraction is divided into two parts: an interactive "Design Studio" where kids can use touchscreens to customize their own "SIM-Car," and the actual high-speed test drive. The ride itself features sudden braking, swerving, and a spectacular outdoor loop where the car reaches a top speed of 65 mph, making it the fastest ride in all of Walt Disney World. Because the car seats six (two rows of three), it is a great "family ride" where parents can sit directly next to their children. While the speed might be intimidating for very young children, the ride does not have any steep drops or inversions, making it feel more like a fast car ride than a traditional roller coaster. For 2026, the ride's "futuristic" aesthetic and the ability to see how your custom car performs against others on the leaderboard keeps it as one of the most engaging and "re-ridable" attractions for children ages 6 and up.
