However, if you have the Paris Pass on your vacation you can use the public transport network of the city (bus, RER, metro or streetcar Montmartre tram) for free within zones 1-3. The Eiffel Tower is located in Zone 1.

Metro. The Paris Metro is our preferred way to get around the city when we travel around central Paris. This is because it is fast, affordable, has a regular service, and it covers the majority of the attractions in the city centre. The Paris metro system is currently made up of 16 lines and 302 stations.
The Tower lights and beacon are lit up every evening from dusk until 11.45pm. As soon as it gets dark, the Eiffel Tower's golden lighting switches on automatically within less than 10 minutes, thanks to light-sensitive twilight sensors. Simply check an almanac to find out what time the monument will light up.
Moulin Rouge is southwest of Montmartre, in the Paris district of Pigalle on Boulevard de Clichy in the 18th arrondissement, and has a red windmill on its roof. The closest métro station is Blanche.

Saturdays and Sundays are the busiest days of the week. When it is not peak season, school vacation or a public holiday, attendance is usually lowest on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. The Eiffel Tower is open on Tuesdays, unlike museums in Paris.
So that you're here on time, we recommend arriving 15 minutes in advance so that you have time to make it through the security checks at the entrance. For example, if your ticket is for 10am, plan to arrive at the Eiffel Tower entrance at 9.45am.
The entrances of the Eiffel Tower are located in the side gardens—the east entrance and south entrance. The first security checkpoint is there. If you have purchased your ticket in advance, it is preferable to arrive at this entrance 15 to 20 minutes prior to the time indicated on your ticket.
