The building originally known as the International Hotel in Las Vegas is still very much "a thing" in 2026, but it has not operated under that name since 1971. Today, it is known as the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino. Opened in 1969 by Kirk Kerkorian, it was once the largest hotel in the world and famously hosted Elvis Presley for his legendary residency (he performed 636 consecutive sold-out shows there). After its short stint as the International, it became the Las Vegas Hilton for over four decades (1971–2012), then briefly the LVH – Las Vegas Hotel and Casino, before Westgate Resorts purchased it in 2014. In 2026, the property leans heavily into its history, maintaining the "International Theater" where Elvis performed and featuring a prominent bronze statue of the King in the lobby. It also houses the "SuperBook," currently the largest race and sports book in the world, making it a major hub for sports bettors and fans of classic Vegas history located just off the main Strip.
