Is the Transformer ride scary?

Transformers delivers relatively mild motion simulator thrills. Those who are susceptible to motion sickness might experience some discomfort (but closing your eyes should alleviate most queasiness). There are loud and thrilling scenes depicted that could frighten younger children, but the action is mostly an illusion.

That said, I think 5 years old can be a perfect age to take your kids. My mature 4-year-old (he turned 4 years just 2 weeks before our visit) was mesmerized by everything, had a ton of fun at different areas and rides, and at 42? he was riding everything minus things I was afraid of riding myself.

It is a spooky/scary queue and coaster which makes it really cool and omnious which will build suspense, don't let it deter you! You can absolutely, 100% ride the Mummy if you enjoy Hagrids and Gringotts and I would highly recommend you do.

This attraction first opened in Universal Studios Singapore in 2011 and was quickly copied in Hollywood and Orlando. Transformers replaces the old Soundstage 44 which was home to the Murder She Wrote Mystery Theater and Hercules and Xena attractions.

Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem is child friendly. With that in mind, this attraction does contain simulated heights and jarring movements that may be too intense for young children. Do keep in mind that a 40 inch height requirement is required to ride, and children under 48 inches will need to be accompanied by an adult.

Reviewed by ImWhyTheRumIsGone Review Date: 08/05/2021 Fun theme, but it's one of the nauseating sim rides. Even without 3D, it's really jarring. If the minion dance party is happening, it's a lot of fun when you're exiting. Worth a ride, but not multiple times.

We rate this ride two out of five hippogriffs in terms of fear factor, simply because it is a rollercoaster. However, there's not much to fear here as you soar across the rather tame track.
