The water temperature in Mallorca is highly seasonal, making it "warm" only during the summer and early autumn. During the peak summer months of July and August, the sea temperature is very pleasant, typically ranging from 25°C to 27°C (77°F–81°F), which is ideal for swimming and water sports. In September, the water remains warm (around 25°C), which is often the best time to visit for manageable crowds. However, during the winter and early spring, the Mediterranean is much colder; in February and March, the water drops to its lowest at about 14°C to 15°C (57°F–59°F), which is too cold for most people without a wetsuit. For the best "warm water" experience in 2026, plan your trip between mid-June and early October.
