As of February 2026, there is no building in the world that has 200 floors. The current record-holder for the most floors is the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, which has 163 floors (plus 46 maintenance levels) and stands at 828 meters. The Jeddah Tower in Saudi Arabia, which is currently back under construction with a projected completion date toward 2028-2030, is designed to be the first "kilometer-high" building; however, even it is only planned to have approximately 167 to 170 floors. Building to 200 floors poses extreme engineering challenges, particularly regarding "elevator transit time"—waiting for an elevator to go up 200 stories would be impractical for residents—and managing the massive "wind sway" at that height. While several "200+ floor" concepts have been proposed in China and Dubai, none have officially broken ground or been confirmed for completion, as the focus in modern architecture has shifted slightly toward "supertall" sustainability rather than purely breaking the floor-count record.
