The Atlanta Perimeter is a circumferential beltway encircling metropolitan Atlanta, GA, connecting the ring of suburbs with the region's radial freeway system.
It would be best to go on weekends when traffic would generally be lighter. Best time would be to go through it after 10pm, when traffic would be very light then. If you can't help going on weekdays though, try to plan your trip so that you drive to Atlanta at 9:30am to 10am. 2pm to 3pm is also another good option.
With an overall 48 walk score, the broader metro Atlanta itself doesn't rank very high on the walkable scale since most errands require a car. But, many neighborhoods in the metro area are revitalizing and redefining spaces to make them more pedestrian-friendly.
World-class restaurants, festive nightlife, professional sports teams, and an abundance of attractions and events help make Atlanta the center for entertainment in the South.
