From the moment your boarding group is called, you have 1 hour to return to the ride before your spot in the virtual queue expires. For example, if your group is called at 2:20 pm, you have until 3:20 pm to show up and get in line.

If you've secured a virtual queue boarding group number on your reservation day, the Disney app will push a notification through when it's your group's turn to get in line. Once you receive this notification, you'll have an hour to get to the attraction or experience.

Here's an important data point though: for the 7:00 AM window, you can join the virtual queue from outside the theme park. However, for the 1:00 PM window (and the 6:00 PM window) you'll have to be inside the theme park to join the virtual queue.

Some attractions don't have Lightning Lanes and some attractions with Lightning Lanes aren't included in Genie+. At Epcot, Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind has a Lightning Lane but is not part of Genie+. To access that Lightning Lane you'll have to make a separate purchase.
