While the Haunted Mansion is an iconic staple, it is not present in every single Disney resort, and the versions that do exist vary significantly. There are currently Haunted Mansion-style attractions at five of the six global resorts. Disneyland (California) features the original New Orleans Square version, while Magic Kingdom (Florida) has a larger Gothic-style mansion in Liberty Square. Tokyo Disneyland hosts a version in Fantasyland that closely mirrors the Florida layout. Disneyland Paris features the unique Phantom Manor, which is integrated into the storyline of Frontierland. Hong Kong Disneyland has Mystic Manor, a completely different attraction that uses trackless technology and focus on a "mystic" collection rather than ghosts to respect local cultural sensitivities. Shanghai Disney Resort is the only resort that does not have a Haunted Mansion or its equivalent, opting instead for attractions like the Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle for the Sunken Treasure as its flagship dark ride.
