Is there a queue for World of Color?

In order to secure a Virtual Queue for World of Color ? ONE you will need your park tickets already linked to your Disney account AND have a valid theme park reservation. You will be able to access primary viewing areas for the show through a virtual queue system available only via the Disneyland app.

In 2026, there is no longer a traditional physical standby queue for the primary viewing areas of World of Color – One at Disney California Adventure. Instead, Disney utilizes a Virtual Queue system accessible exclusively via the Disneyland app. Guests must join the virtual queue at exactly 12:00 PM (noon) on the day of their visit. To be eligible, you must have already entered either Disney California Adventure or Disneyland Park (with a Park Hopper). Once joined, you are assigned a "Boarding Group" and a specific viewing color (Blue or Yellow). When your group is called, you proceed to the designated entrance. If the virtual queue reaches capacity, limited "walk-up" standby viewing may be available near the Paradise Bay area 30–45 minutes before showtime, but it is not guaranteed and often offers a less-than-ideal perspective.

The further back you go, the less immersed in the show you'll feel. However, on the plus side, you will be able to see the projections better. In fact, I think the optimal view of the projections is actually all the way back outside of Paradise Park, with your back almost against the Little Mermaid dark ride building.

Although both are wonderful shows (and you really should see both if at all possible), my vote goes to World of Color. Fantasmic is a great story with awesome effects, but moments in World of Color made me cry. There is something spectacular about the water, colors, and scenes chosen that touches you.
