Is there a size limit on backpacks at Disneyland?

Suitcases, bags, coolers or backpacks, with or without wheels, larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high (61 cm x 38 cm x 46 cm) are not allowed in any theme park. Loose or dry ice is not permitted in these containers. Re-usable ice packs are recommended.

In 2026, Disneyland Resort enforces a specific size limit for all bags, including backpacks and coolers, brought into the parks. Bags must not exceed 24 inches long x 15 inches wide x 18 inches high (61 cm x 38 cm x 46 cm). This rule is primarily to ensure that bags can fit into the standard storage lockers and don't create safety hazards in crowded walkways or ride vehicles. All bags are subject to screening via high-tech Evolv scanners at the security checkpoints; if a bag appears too large, security Cast Members may use a physical sizer to verify dimensions. Additionally, while backpacks are allowed, suitcases and bags with wheels are strictly prohibited inside the theme parks. For travelers with oversized gear, large lockers are available for rent just outside the main gates in the Esplanade area, allowing you to store bulky items safely while you enjoy your day with a smaller, park-compliant daypack.
