Is there WIFI on top of Table Mountain?

Stay connected 1085m above the Atlantic Ocean at this epic new FREE wireless internet hotspot. There isn't much one needs to say about the Mother City's most iconic landmark.

Yes, there is free Wi-Fi available on top of Table Mountain in Cape Town. In early 2025, the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Company launched a dedicated Free Wi-Fi Lounge located at the Upper Cableway Station, 1,000 meters above sea level. Visitors can connect to the "TABLE_MOUNTAIN" network to share photos and videos in real-time. The lounge is a modern, climate-controlled space equipped with numerous USB charging points and plugs, allowing travelers to recharge their devices while enjoying 360-degree views of the Atlantic Ocean and the city. The lounge opens with the first cable car and closes with the last, providing a comfortable "connected hub" for both tourists and hikers who wish to check weather conditions or coordinate transportation back down the mountain.
