There is no public transportation inside Arches National Park. You may need to rent a car, ride a bicycle, or take a commercial tour to get around inside the park. The nearest community is Moab, Utah.
Uber and Lyft both do not openly allow drivers to drive across the border for legal and business reasons. There are questions that arise in terms of insurance and where Uber (and the driver) are authorized to work.
You do not need to pre-arrange a pickup with Uber to pick you up at an airport. Airport is the most popular place where most drivers will go there to wait for a ride. Most of the time, it only take 5–10 minutes before a driver will arrive.
Explore the best of Arches National Park on this incredible two-day vacation. There's a lifetime's worth of exploration to be had in the red rock desert of southeastern Utah, but a fabulous place to start is by spending two days in Arches National Park.
Two days in Arches is ideal though and would give you enough time to explore the Fiery Furnace on the ranger-led hike and do a few more of the longer hikes. One day is really all you need at the Island in the Sky district of Canyonlands National Park if you're sticking to the overlooks and shorter trails.
Shoulder Season: February and NovemberFebruary (for springtime adventures) and November (for autumn fun) can be the best time to visit Moab and the national parks.
Moab's heat and terrain are two things to be prepared for ahead of time. Bring plenty of food, and especially water, to stay fueled and hydrated while you're out exploring the canyons and trails. Some tips for visiting Moab straight from the locals is to drink one gallon of water per day, per person.
