Is UGA parking free on weekends?

(Enforcement Hours: 7:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m.) Parking in all other lots is free for any vehicle on Saturdays and Sundays (excluding Gamedays).

There is no free parking on the main campus or The Health Sciences Campus during weekday operating hours. All areas require a permit or a pass to park. Visitors and those with no permit may pay to park in a visitor deck or ParkMobile lot. Some areas are not enforced during evenings, nights, and weekends.

(Enforcement Hours: 6:00 p.m. - 11:59 p.m.) Parking after 6:00 p.m. in After Hours Parking Lots is free for vehicles registered to an active UGA parking account. If your vehicle is not registered to an active UGA parking account, you must pay-per-hour to park in an After Hours Parking lot.

The cost of a permit is $10 (Park & Ride), $20, $30, or $40 per month depending on the lot. Permits are sold for nine- or twelve-month periods and expire at the end of the spring semester or on July 31st.

Students, faculty, staff, and visitors who elect not to purchase a parking permit may pay to park in one of the four visitor parking decks (Transportation Hub, Capstone, Student Center, North ten Hoor) by paying the daily rate. Credit cards and Bama Cash are the only forms of payment accepted.
