Is Universal Studios a lot of walking?

There is a lot of walking unless you rent one of the electrical scooters for $50 a day. Second, get the Express Pass. On some rides, it isn't worth the money, but on a few, you will grow old and see your children get married before you get to ride if you are in the “free” line. On the whole, they are worth the expense.

Yes, visiting Universal Studios—whether in Orlando or Hollywood—involves a significant amount of physical activity. In Universal Orlando Resort, the two main parks and CityWalk are connected by a massive pedestrian network where a typical guest can easily walk 7 to 10 miles (11–16 km) in a single day. The walk from the parking garage to the park entrances alone is roughly half a mile. In Universal Studios Hollywood, the challenge is different; while the footprint is smaller, the park is split into an "Upper Lot" and a "Lower Lot" separated by a series of long escalators known as the Starway. Even with the escalators, navigating the steep terrain and the extensive backlot areas during a Studio Tour requires stamina. To manage the fatigue in 2026, it is highly recommended to wear well-cushioned athletic shoes, utilize the Hogwarts Express (with a park-to-park ticket) to skip the walk between Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley, and take advantage of the air-conditioned shows for scheduled rest breaks.

Cons: The rides are fun however, the 3D rides have so much jolting and visual affects, if you get motion sickness in any way, these rides could make you sick. After Harry Potter, Transformers and the Studio Tour, I couldn't handle anymore than that. Everything is very expensive, including getting into the park.
