Is Universal Studios Hollywood good for little kids?

Universal Studios Hollywood has a lot to offer toddlers, older kids and adults. From the Minions and the Secret Life of Pets to Dino Play and Super Silly Fun World, there are lots of rides, play areas and meet and greets that toddlers will absolutely love.
Hollywood Studios is okay, but not great, for toddlers. Hollywood Studios has the most limited ride lineup for toddlers, with only two rides with no height requirement.
However, the Universal Studios age recommendation is a fairly mature 8 years-old. If they're younger they probably won't be able to appreciate much of the entertainment or be able to go on many rides, but families do have a fun experience when taking a trip together.
So, which Universal park is better for kids? As a general rule of thumb, we find that Universal Studios is the better choice as it has plenty of kid-friendly options when it comes to rides, shows, and character meet and greets!
Disney World has more for younger kids.If you're planning a once-in-a-few-years vacation, you probably want your little one to get to experience a variety of experiences with you, and Disney World—specifically Magic Kingdom—offers much more for the littlest ones than Universal.
Because Disney does not have a child switch option, you need to prioritize all the kid-friendly rides and ride those. And even so, you may not be able to cover the whole park in a day. With small children, Universal is much more “coverable.” You feel that you've seen it all, or most of it, by the end of your trip.
You could certainly spend multiple days there seeing all the theme park has to offer but 6-7 hours should cover the main sights and experiences to get through that you are interested in.

From blockbuster, thrill rides to shows that light up the night, there's something for everyone, and I would recommend going. Just make sure to do some research and plan your trip, especially if it's as packed as it was for us!
That said, Wizarding World (like most of the rides at Universal Studios) is probably best suited for kids 7 & up. Kids who are already well-versed in all things Potter will have the best time since every nook and cranny is inspired by J.K. Rowling's sprawling imagination.
Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Park is best for people who want to take in the atmosphere and those who have always wanted to explore the world of Harry Potter for themselves. Hogsmeade at Islands of Adventure is for thrill-seekers looking for groundbreaking, jaw-dropping attractions.
If your family is partial to high-octane thrills, then Universal Orlando would probably be the better choice. Although Hollywood features some rides for thrill-seekers, such as the aforementioned Revenge of the Mummy coaster, Orlando boasts eight roller coasters between Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure.

Universal Studios Hollywood is fun for kids, but even more fun for adults. Imagine soaring over lands you've only seen on screen. And letting loose with some of your favorite characters on some incredible rides.
