LEGOLAND California is a fantastic destination for families with toddlers, as well as younger and older kids. The theme park offers a wide range of age-appropriate rides and attractions that cater to young children, while still providing plenty of fun for the entire family.
The park is geared for kids ages 2-12 but many families with a range of ages can have fun exploring. I find that by setting expectations for what there is to do for each age, you are increasing chances that everyone will have a great time.
Some of our favorites LEGOLAND attractions for 10 - 12 year olds include: LEGO TECHNIC Coaster: This is truly a thrilling roller coaster that is perfect for tweens—and they can even ride it without Mom or Dad. It makes them feel very grown-up. Water Parks: I don't know a pre-teen who doesn't LOVE a water park.

Even on its most crowded days, LEGOLAND still doesn't get the same crowds as Disneyland. And Disneyland often has special events and new attractions (like the Avengers Campus) that attract even more crowds.
Adults and children aged 3 and up at the time of entry must have an Annual Pass or an admission ticket. Children aged 2 and under can enter LEGOLAND New York Resort free of charge!
Is LEGOLAND cheaper than Disneyland? LEGOLAND tickets start at $95 for kids ages 3-12 and $101 for people ages 13 and older. Disneyland tickets range between $98-$150 for kids ages 3-9 and between $104-$159 for people ages 10 and older (depending on the day). Kids ages 2 and younger are free at both parks.
