By 2026, lie-flat beds have become the standard for long-haul international First and Business Class across most major carriers. Emirates and Etihad offer some of the most luxurious "suites" that convert into fully flat beds with plush mattresses and privacy doors. Singapore Airlines features standalone "Suites" on its A380s that even offer double beds for couples traveling together. In the United States, JetBlue Mint® offers lie-flat suites on transcontinental and transatlantic routes, while United, Delta, and American Airlines provide lie-flat beds on their widebody fleets (and select narrowbodies) for long-haul service. Even newer aircraft like the Airbus A321neo are being outfitted with compact lie-flat pods, allowing airlines to offer "bed-style" comfort on medium-haul flights that previously only had standard reclining seats.
