The Swiss Travel Pass in 2026 is an all-in-one "key to the country" that provides virtually unlimited access to the entire Swiss Travel System. It includes unlimited travel on trains, buses, and boats throughout Switzerland, covering 90 urban areas and nearly every major scenic rail route, such as the Glacier Express and the Bernina Express (though seat reservations for these specific trains still require a separate fee). Beyond transportation, the pass offers free admission to over 500 museums across the country, including the Olympic Museum in Lausanne and the Château de Chillon. It also provides a 50% discount on most mountain railways and cable cars, such as the trip to Mount Pilatus or the Titlis Rotair. For families, the pass is exceptionally valuable because children under 16 can travel for free when accompanied by a parent holding a Swiss Travel Pass (using the Swiss Family Card). Essentially, it eliminates the need to buy individual point-to-point tickets, allowing you to simply hop on any scheduled public transport by showing your digital pass on your smartphone or a printed copy.

FAQ. Which is better Jungfraujoch or Titlis? While both destinations are really nice and Jungfraujoch is more unique, Mount Titlis is much easier, quicker, and also significantly cheaper to visit than Jungfrau. So if you have to pick just one of the two – in summer or in winter – I think I'd go to Mt Titlis.
