Bedrooms are larger than roomettes and offer a sink and vanity with enclosed toilet and shower facilities. Spanning the width of the train car, Amtrak's family bedrooms are a cozy option for a family of four. Each family bedroom comes with two sets of bunk-style beds, a sofa, and two reclining seats.
There are sliding doors that you can close at any time, or leave the door open for easy access to the hallway. You can lock the door when you are inside the roomette, but you cannot lock it from the outside, so avoid leaving valuables in the roomette when you are not there.
