British Airways (BA) has implemented a major "retrofit" for its World Traveller Plus (Premium Economy) cabin in 2026, particularly on its Airbus A380 and Boeing 777-300ER fleets. The new experience features an upgraded seat with greater recline, adjustable six-way headrests, and a dedicated leg rest for every passenger. Tech improvements include 12-inch 4K high-definition screens and individual "USB-A and USB-C" power ports at every seat. BA has also revamped the "soft product," introducing a sustainably designed amenity kit made from recycled plastic bottles and a dining service that mirrors the "Club World" (Business Class) menu, featuring a choice of three entrées served on fine china with linen napkins. Perhaps the biggest 2026 improvement is the reduction of cabin density on some aircraft, providing a more "exclusive" and quieter environment with fewer rows, ensuring that the "premium" in Premium Economy is clearly felt through increased personal space and a more refined service flow.
