What are the two newest rides at Kings Island?

Two new rides, Sol Spin and Cargo Loco, anchor the area, while the Adventure Express roller coaster has new theming enhancements and experiences for park guests.

As of early 2026, the two newest major additions to Kings Island are RiverRacers and the reimagined Adventure Port attractions. RiverRacers, debuting for the 2025 season in the Soak City Water Park, is Ohio’s first dual-racing water coaster, featuring side-by-side launches that propel riders through tunnels and over "gravity-defying" drops. Within the main theme park, the most recent expansion is the Adventure Port area, which opened in late 2023/early 2024 and introduced two family-friendly mechanical rides: Sol Spin and Cargo Loco. Sol Spin is a high-speed spinning attraction that suspends riders in the air, while Cargo Loco is a modern take on the classic tea cups, themed around a chaotic shipping company. These additions represent the park's recent strategy of enhancing both its water park and its "flat ride" collection to provide more variety for families alongside its world-class roller coaster lineup.
